The art of Scotch whisky production dates back to the 1400's. It evolved from a Scottish drink called uisge beatha, which means "water of life".
Scots have been perfecting whisky production for hundreds of years. It comes as no surprise that the Scots are considered the best whisky producers in the world.
The methods used in production remain virtually unchanaged today.
